HOPE Stroke Support Group at Manatee Memorial Hospital

The HOPE Stroke Support Group at Manatee Memorial Hospital (MMH) is a stroke support group for stroke survivors and their caregivers.  HOPE stands for Healing, Optimism, Positivity, and Encouragement.  Three groups sponsor HOPE: Manatee Memorial Hospital, Florida Home Health, Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, and Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Sarasota.

The next HOPE Stroke Support Group meeting is October 11 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Manatee Memorial Hospital Auditorium, 206 2nd Street East, Bradenton, Florida.  At this meeting, you can enjoy a presentation about Common Medications for the Stroke Patient presented by Louiza Garayeva, PharmD, and assisted by Jessica Lockshaw, PharmD.

A FREE heart-healthy dinner and beverage will be served at the meeting.  This event is FREE and open to the public.  HOPE asks that you RSVP to reserve your seat so they know how many meals to order.  To RSVP, call 941-745-7394.  There is free parking in the visitor parking lot next to the hospital’s main entrance.  HOPE regularly meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.
