Thankful for ACC Supporters

This month, we are thankful for a couple of ACC supporters who were heavily involved in the Aphasia Community Center. We are saddened that these wonderful people are no longer with us.

Dan Pruchnowski was a retired police officer from Tonawanda, NY.  He enjoyed sailing and making people laugh. He loved his wife Kathy, daughter Donna, and grandchildren Justin and Alison.  Dan always had a smile, and his warmth made you feel at ease. He and Kathy have been members of the Suncoast Aphasia Support Group since the beginning, and we have shared many fun times.

Dan O’Brien also spent his career in law enforcement.  He and Sheila loved their 2 horses and enjoyed making pottery (they even have their own pottery wheel).  His beautiful pieces often appeared on tables at craft fairs, farmer’s markets, and Aphasia Community Center events.  Dan and Sheila were long-time members of the Suncoast Aphasia Support Group.  He was an aphasia advocate and was always willing to offer advice and resource options to other co-survivors.
